The layout and design presented challenges as the space has to accommodate multiple cooks as well as media crew along with all their equipment. Once a dark and dated kitchen in need of a camera ready makeover, it is now bright, sleek and modern in neutral tones. The colour palette shows up well on camera and adds longevity to the kitchen space. An accent glass shelf with LED lighting over the sink area adds visual interest for the camera and can be interchanged. Fully integrated fridge and dishwasher create a streamlined and tidy look.
This modern and cozy kitchen is visually minimal but it packs a lot of features, a lift-up cabinet for small appliance storage, a wine niche and an open area for cookbooks. Another small hidden area in an accent colour highlights a little nook for small items and spices. The waterfall countertop and seating area align with the pantry cabinet creating a nice flow. Living in a condo always presents renovation issues, working around an electrical and plumbing column, which couldn’t be moved. Thinking on our feet we managed to hide the column with a custom configured pantry cabinet.

Seaforth Anthracite cabinets are decorated with antique brass hardware and are contrasted with the white Ceasarstone countertops and milk glass tile backsplash. The homeowners opted for a transitional style of cabinetry made more contemporary by using floating shelves to house their dishes. Plenty of storage is integrated into the design including two appliances garages with glass display cabinets above, helping free the counter of clutter. A buffet and attached banquette run along the wall of the dining area and not only provide added storage for specialty items, but also additional seating at their kitchen table.

Counter space was a must and the gallery layout, complete with island, provides more then sufficient workspace for multiple chefs. The kitchen was kept bright using the Bedford Vanilla cabinetry on the perimeter, with the contrasting Pacifica Cocoa Maple island adding warmth to the space. An abundance of storage is incorporated throughout the space with three oversized pantries. To keep the space clear of clutter, tray dividers, a garbage and recycling center and a handy sink tilt out drawer were included. Neutral brick tile for the backsplash paired with the stainless steel appliances and decorative posts and mouldings throughout, complete the look of the transitional space, creating a beautiful kitchen with plenty of space for dinner parties - exactly what the leracis ordered.

With a large family that includes several teenagers, working, storage space and de-cluttering accessories were a must! Homeowner Vicky Lundy wanted to keep the space fresh and bright by using lighter colours which was accomplished using Windsor Glazed Latte cabinetry. In keeping with the rest of the home's feel and decor, traditional crown moulding and posts were used to add extra detail and glamour to the space. Neutral tones were selected for the flooring, granite countertop and marble backsplash to tie the room together while contributing an elegant yet simple feel.

The spacious and open layout allowed for several "zones" within the kitchen; pantry and desk area, hutch area and cooking/ prep/ clean-up area including a sizable island with seating - surely enough room for a family with three kids to use confortably. The large central island is the true core of this kitchen serving several duties along with ample space for a quick bite or a large spread for entertaining - all the while looking fabulous with a gleaming quartz countertop. The contemporary pairing of shaker door in a light Largo Glazed Latte with a dark rich Napa Clove Maple keeps things interesting, modern and fresh!
